
Alhaji Abdulrazaq Tukur Yusuf
Alhaji Abdulrazaq Tukur Yusuf, born on July 2, 1965, in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, Nigeria, is a dynamic and respected expert in public administration and electoral management. His academic journey began at Ramalan Primary School in Bakori and continued at Government College Kaduna, before he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English at Bayero University Kano, graduating in 1987. He then earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics in 1990, and deepened his international experience with a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Leeds in 1991, complemented by further studies at the University of Bradford in England.
Over more than thirty years, Alhaji Yusuf built an exceptional career within Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Following early service as Senior Appraisal Officer at the National Board for Community Banks in Bauchi, he joined INEC, steadily advancing from Assistant Chief Administrative Officer to Director of Human Resource Management at the national headquarters. His leadership extended to serving as Administrative Secretary in both Nasarawa and Kano States, where he ensured electoral integrity and administrative efficiency. Before retiring in 2023, he culminated his distinguished career as Director of Electoral Operations and Logistics. In recognition of his extensive expertise and commitment to transparent governance, he was appointed National Commissioner of INEC in Abuja, representing the country’s North‑West Zone—an appointment made by the President of the Federal Republic.
