Professor Sunday Nwambam Aja was born on March 7, 1966 at Ndiogbaga Obashi Ezza Inyimagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Nigeria. He is an alumnus of Ndiogbaga Obashi community primary school, Nnodo secondary school Abakaliki, Federal Collage of Education Ehamufu, University of Nigeria Nsukka, Ebonyi State University Abakaliki and Unicaf University Zambia.

Prof. Sunday N. Aja joined the services of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki as an Assistant Lecturer in 2006 and obtained Ph.D Degree in Educational Administration and Planning in the same institution in 2012. Presently, he is a Professor of Educational Administration and Planning in the Department of Educational Foundations Ebonyi State University Abakaliki.

 He is a Member Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), Commonwealth Council for Educational administration and Management (CCEAM), British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) etc.

Prof. Aja in his contributions to rendering quality services to the society has served as a supervisory Councillor for Education Izzi Local Government Area, Special Adviser to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Inter-governmental Affairs and recently appointed by the President Federal Republic of Nigeria as National Commissioner in INEC Abuja representing South- East Zone of Nigeria.

Prof. Aja is an erudite scholar, accomplished academic, astute administrator and a devout Christian. His hobbies include gardening, mentoring and research with major research interest Educational Leadership, Human resource management and Policy analysis. He is married with children.
